 Child Treatment Program

The Child Treatment Program (CTP) is a foster care based comprehensive treatment program that combines the normalization of family living with the benefits of coordinated therapeutic treatment services.  Foster parents are ready to nurture, provide guidance, limits, tenderness and care to meet the needs of each special unique child.  The child’s Treatment Team*, consisting of foster parents, Mental Health Professionals and the Case Manager, meet to attend to specialized treatment and care plans for each client.

We work with young children ages birth-12 years, sibling groups, pregnant teens and parenting families with young children.

TSA staff are experienced in working with children with a myriad of mental health behavior problems, childhood trauma, and family life experiences. Family connections are vitally important and TSA works in partnership with families and county workers to arrange for home visits, sibling contacts and therapeutic gains.  We work with families to support reunification or to assist with permanency planning when needed.

Distinctive Characteristics of TSA's Child Treatment Program

  •  Family home setting and community living

  •  Professional assessment and treatment  services provided by experienced mental health professionals, practitioners, and case managers

  •  Coordinated medical, psychiatric, and school support services

  •  Healthy age-appropriate childhood opportunities

  •  Individual, group and family psychotherapy and skills training services available

  •  Treatment Team* model

TSA utilizes a Treatment Team* model for therapeutic service planning.  This model is the heartbeat of the program in the delivery of services to children and their families.  Quality foster care, meaningful therapeutic services, coordinated efforts, and partnerships with families produce positive outcomes for children.

Importance of Family Based Programming

TSA is committed to family reunification and permanency for children when possible.

We recognize the importance of family, pre-school and elementary school and peer group success, safety in daily living and child development. We welcome opportunities to work with families and approach our work with parents in partnership to help their child and their family grow in family health and individual well being. We strive to support parents in growing in their effective and rewarding parenting experiences.

Raising kids can be challenging. We want to help! We also respect sibling relationships and have found some of our most rewarding work has been with sibling groups. We welcome referrals of sibling groups and have foster homes that can attend to multiple placements to best support family connections or, if we receive requests for separate sibling placement needs, we are able to provide treatment services and care connections to build positive sibling relationships.

You and your agency is absolutely top notch.  I am so glad that we found  TSA for our client way back when.  It has been a journey for our client but she couldn’t have had better care and services.  Thank you to you and the team…Marcy and Red, Scott, and Ellen.  J
